Mortal remains of this filmmaker were made to flames in presence of several leading Bollywood celebrities. Earlier, his body was kept in Yash Raj Films studio for people paying respects. Rani Mukherji, Rajpal Yadav, Prasoon Joshi, Kiran Rao, Preity Zinta, Mukesh Bhatt, Suresh Oberoi, and many others were there at crematorium.
Chopra gone expired in Lilavati hospital near about 5.30 in evening on October 21st due to multiple organ failure with dengue fever. Salman Khan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Sridevi, Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor,Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Rinkie Khanna, Karan Johar, and others also gone to pay respects to him at his residence, Lilavati hospital, and YRF studio.
Yash chopra at his 80th Birthday, 27th day of last month had also announced retirement from directing the films. Jab Tak Hai Jaan is his 22nd film starring leading actor Shahrukh, Anushka, and Katrina which is expected to release on November, 13th. He was born in Lahore on 27th September, 1932 and he was youngest children in his family.
Yash Chopra came Mumbai with only 200 bucks in pocket with dreams to become leading filmmaker in Bollywood industry unlike his family and parents want to get him into engineering profession. He get work in Bollywood industry firstly as assistant under I S Johar and finally made directorial debut with hit movie of the time ‘Dhool Ka Phool’ in year 1959.
He has also directed movies including Ittefaq, Waqt, and Dharamputra. In 1970, he set his own ‘Yash Raj Films’ production company and movie ‘Daag’ was released under his own banner. He has also helped actors such as Amitabh and Shah Rukh to get its peak.
We will not be able to forget his contribution to Bollywood industry and mankind rendered to social community.

Yash Chopra is No More
With prayer on lips, friends, family, and other eminent Bollywood celebrities give farewell to leading filmmaker Yash Chopra in Mumbai here afternoon. Chopra’s body was garlanded with flowers and brought to crematorium in Juhu along with family members and other friends including Uday Chopra, Aditya Chopra, SRK, and Amitabh Bachchan. We have lost precious diamond of the Bollywood industry.
